There are different kinds of hypertension but the most common is the arterial hypertension. This condition could also be classified into two - essential and secondary.

High blood pressure, or hypertension, generally has either no outward symptoms; if they are there, they may be very vague and mild. In most of the cases, people are unaware of the disease until a doctor happens to check their blood pressure as a part of a routine check-up. In fact, hypertension is called a silent killer. The only way to know about the existence of hypertension is to get one's blood pressure checked. Therefore, many doctors advise that it is advisable to get one's blood pressure checked regularly.

If you are experiencing any of the above hypertension symptoms, it is best to immediately consult a doctor for proper treatment. It is possible that you could be suffering from hypertensive crisis already and it is very dangerous because it may lead to stroke or heart attack. Hypertension can also lead to other serious ailments like kidney and eye problems. It is best to have your blood pressure checked so that you will know if it is within the normal level.

The presence of blood in urine

Chronic or severe headaches

Palpitations or irregular heartbeat

These are just some of the possible symptoms and signs of a dangerous level of hypertension. It's important to note that these symptoms can have numerous possible causes but must never be ignored, especially when a blood pressure check is so easy to do.

Irregular Heartbeat - If you feel your heart beating irregularly, call your doctor immediately.

Blurred Vision - This is a classic hypertension symptom.

Confusion - Buzzing In The Ears - Blood In Your Urine - These are also additional signs and symptoms of hypertension.

For either hypertension, or pre-hypertension, your doctor will usually suggest changes in your lifestyle to get it down to a more normal range. You'll be told to adjust your eating habits and begin to eat more healthy foods, as well as get on an exercise program if you're not already doing so.

If you are suffering from high cholesterol, the situation becomes more complicated. When there is excess cholesterol in your blood, the excess can become trapped in the inside walls of the arteries, clogging your arteries and restricting blood flow. This over time will build up and narrow the arteries and slowing or even blocking the flow of blood to the heart muscle.

So not only high blood pressure is the leading cause of heart diseases, but there is a direct connection between it and elevated cholesterol. The lesson here is this. Do not complicate things by eating food high in cholesterol. You must avoid cholesterol in foods and manage the levels in your blood.

Extreme hypertension gives morning headache, blurred vision, dyspnoea (breathing difficulties) and elevated values of certain components in the blood, like urea and serum creatinine.
Hypertension will in the long run hurt the blood vessels, and serious hypertension can do extensive damage to the blood vessels in a few months or years.

Read About Girls Forum Also Read About Make up tips and makeup brushes.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Ashley_Hart

[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ]

Kyle J.
